Our class begins with a Lecture and Demonstration from 6:30-9:30 Thursday April 10th. Student registration is at 6:30 and the demonstration is open to the public by donation from 7-8.

Then 3 full days of practice in the ancient arts of healing from the Hawaiian Islands. Includes instruction of a full body lomi lomi massage, the practice of Ho'oponopono and traditional breath and movement exercises designed to raise the vibration of both giver and reciever.

Residential - £350. (Includes all meals Friday breakfast thru Sunday brunch, class and shared accomodations) Enjoy all that Shambala has to offer including vegitarian meals, sauna, and use of the grounds. An Evening of Sacred Massage for Couples

All are invited to a lecture and demonstration of this ancient healing art open to the public. Witness the grace and beauty of this flowing dance of healing from the islands of Hawaii. Combining elements of Hula and mimicking the waves of the ocean the practioner moves as the receiver is transported to a place of deep healing and transformation. A brief lecture on the history and culture behind this work will be followed by a hypnotic demonstration of the gift of aloha through touch. Approximately 45 minutes in length.

Then Sacred Dance Playshop 8:30-10pm you are invited to invoke and embody the grace of divinity through an exploration of movement and sound. Beginning with a guided meditation and continuing with the body's innate desire to express itself through movement we share the sacred space of creation in the dance. Come together and sweat your prayers. Also by donation.

You are invited to invoke and embody the grace of divinity through an exploration of movement and sound. Beginning with a guided meditation following the breath’s journey through the body, we bring awareness to those spaces that hold tension and emotion and invite them to be released.
With the body's innate desire to express itself through movement we share the sacred space of creation in the dance unwinding and traveling through space. Through offered suggestions and free form movement we come together to sweat our prayers. Allow the goddess within to come out and play.
Wear something comfortable to dance in that makes you feel beautiful. Veils, belly dancing clothes, instruments and fun costumes encouraged. No dance experience necessary, all shapes and sizes welcome. Open to women age 15 and older.

Traditionally the Hawaiians use all of the elements in nature for healing, earth, air, water, fire, plants and stones. Heated stones are placed on the body to prepare the muscles for massage. Then the stones are used to massage the body with the long rhythmic strokes of lomi lomi for a warm, deep uniquely immersive relaxation experience.

Students learn the history, correct placement, handling, safety and contraindications of Hawaiian Hot Stone Massage, as well as where and how to select stones to use in treatment. A variety of techniques are offered with supervised practice and a chance to perform a full body routine.

Students must bring oil, a set of twin sheets with pillowcase, a large bath or beach towel , 2 small hand towels and 2 wash cloths.

A gentle but effective massage for the mother to be, nurturing the whole body and targeting the areas most effected by pregnancy. In this workshop students will learn massage techniques appropriate for all stages of pregnancy as well as contraindications. You will learn to work on tables, mats and birth balls so that the techniques can be adapted to the needs of the client in any setting.

Self care and exercises to help prepare the body for birth will also be covered. This class is open to Massage Therapists, Doulas, Health care professionals and the partners or friends of pregnant women who want to acquire the skills to help provide them comfort.

Instructor has practiced pregnancy massage for over 10 years and is a birth doula with experience in both home and hospital births.
